It was the vacuuming that tried to eat my lunch. We were
Anyway, as I am usually barefooted these days, any incident involving things falling onto toes results in unhappy circumstances. The attachments fell apart several times, it came unplugged from the machine and from the wall several times, and in all the experience had me using some creative language I'd rather not repeat. I am pretty sure I will lose the same toenail that is still growing out in layers from the incident 3 years ago. I think it is time for a new upright vacuum cleaner.
I also did a few other chores--laundry, dishes, etc. and once I had wrestled the inside dragons, I went out to the garage to deal with the trim for Ornery's pegboard. He bought some corner trim that looked like it was primed, only rather than take the paint, it repelled it. We primed it Thursday night, then I put two coats of paint on it yesterday. Hopefully the paint will stay on the trim after it is hung. What a frustration that was!
Between coats of paint, I put a few more things up on the pegboard and rearranged some of the stuff I had put up the night before. When Ornery got home, he hung the trim and touched up the few spots that needed it. The black frame around the gray pegboard really made it look sharp--I couldn't believe the difference! Since the paint brush was already dirty... he went ahead and painted the workbench, too. He painted the legs black and the lower shelf and top gray to match the walls. While he worked, I puttered around putting more stuff away, adding to the trash pile, and tripping over things. :( I really was hard on myself yesterday!
This morning, we will move everything into place, take another load to the dumpster, and be able to park inside again! Then we will go to my booth and bring home a few things, do a little grocery shopping and finish getting ready for our party on Monday. I should be able to post pictures tomorrow--that man cave is quite the cool place!
