A Day of Errands and no Cracks

Mom came over yesterday afternoon and we worked a puzzle together, then she bought us a pizza for dinner before she had to rush off to prayer meeting. She doesn't really have time for us other than Monday afternoon.  She attends Prayer Meeting on Monday night, has Bible study on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, church again on Wednesday night,  has her hair done on Thursday and goes Sunday morning for Sunday School and church, and back again for service on Sunday night.  She sings in nursing homes several mornings a week and helps a family a couple evenings a week with ironing and reading to the invalid man. Her lifestyle makes me look like a total slacker, but I have no desire to spend every waking hour in the company of other people, and all that church attendance would make me twitchy. Some people like it, but even one service a week is exhausting to me!

Ornery took the day off from work to run some errands.  We had a Panera breakfast, got the water filter returned, visited our brother-in-law at the post office where he is postmaster, dropped by Whole Paycheck and shot a bit of our wad, then came home and had leftover pizza for lunch.  The rest of the day we have spent waiting for a call from our attorney to see what we need to do with this title/LLC thing. He has been in court all day, apparently.  I wrote an ad for the property on Craigslist, and worked on a flyer we are going to set out on the kitchen counter at 507 for potential renters to take with them--sort of like a sale brochure when a house is for sale.

We talked about Ornery going back to work this afternoon since we weren't able to take care of all the errands downtown, but instead we spent some wonderful time visiting about our goals and future. One would think without any kids at home we would have all sorts of time for conversation, but for some reason it often slips through the cracks of our days. Do your days have cracks? : /
