Yesterday Ornery's new work cart arrived in the mail. When CW was here, Ornery got a tad covetous of a work table he had that collapsed easily and was a convenient spot to set things while working on a project. I got online and found the table, but then he got to thinking about it and decided he would rather have a cart like they have at his work. Again, Amazon came through, and my daughter ordered it for me with her Amazon Prime account so I didn't have to pay for 2 day shipping!
Here he is assembling his new toy. (There was not a single word or picture of how to assemble this thing--it was that easy!)
Note all the doors propped around the room... some are in need of repair, others have been primed and are waiting for paint, yet others are already painted but need a fresh coat of shiny white on them. THIS has been my project this week, and it doesn't seem like it will ever end. What you cannot see behind me is all the kitchen cabinet doors which also need a fresh coat of paint. Ugh.
Today, besides painting doors and freshly cut trim for the master bath, I painted the cabinet in there and put the first of the bathroom paint up. It is quite drab considering my usual choices but it actually looks really nice with the tile and floor that are in there. Photos later--along with the name of the color.
When Ornery came over after work, he floated some of the patches, sanded others, and started yet others. That is about all he got done all evening.
If all goes as planned, I will spend the whole day at 507 tomorrow, painting doors, priming and painting the master bathroom where I haven't already painted, and priming and painting the patches that are finished in the master bedroom. Once that is done, all that remains for the bedroom is baseboard trim paint.
The master bath still has a number of projects still to be done, but slowly but surely it is coming together!
