Tile Finished!

Other than the grout and clean up, both bathrooms have been fully tiled!  Check it out!
This is the master bathroom. Look at the corner where he cut down a section of the mosaic tile and made it into a cute little finished corner. The pipes sticking out are for the new pedestal sink.  This was before I cleaned up all the stuff from inside the tub and on the floor.  CW will grout both bathrooms tomorrow.
This is the other end of the master bathroom tub.  Looks a little different from before, eh?

This is the hall bathroom on the faucet end.
This shows how the base of the tub will be trimmed out.  The tub has quite a bit of reinforcing beneath it, and a lot of shimming to make it more level.  This trim is made of PVC to prevent water damage, and behind it is some not-so-pretty evidence of making that tub strong and stable.

Here are some photos of the new doors!  (I know, a door is a door, right?)
This is the new door from the dining area into the garage.  It had a hole in the back and was missing a strike plate, and various other things that caused it to not latch when it closed.  It was a wooden door but the area around it was not insulated, so this will be a good energy saving feature, as well as looking much better.  It hasn't been painted yet...  The large patch is to level out the wall from where (I assume) a window air conditioner was once mounted. The other side of that wall in the garage is covered with a piece of paneling.

This is the door from the garage to the side of the house.  When I took the photo, Ornery was still working on the trim.  There is still a tiny bit of daylight showing at the top, but it is better than daylight all the way around and in the middle! Both doors are metal.  He still has to drill the holes for and install the deadbolt lock that goes on this door. The whole garage looks like something exploded in there--lots of work to do in there!

This is the view from the living room window/patio door.  I could sit all day and look at the beautiful flowering trees, the squirrels, birds and huge oak trees. It was cloudy, windy and cold today and didn't really lend itself much to wanting to work outside, but it was still pretty to look at!

When I left today, CW was working on installing the new vent fan in the master bathroom (as opposed to the ceiling fan that was there before) and Ornery was finishing up with the garage door.  Hopefully the upper cabinets in the hall bathroom will make it off the walls before tomorrow, but the guys were both scratching their heads over how to get them out of there. They seem to be held up by magic!
We have a beautiful white light fixture to put above the sink, and a large framed mirror to put beneath that. The two things together will really make the room look bigger and more modern!  We will paint the lower cabinets white and the walls beige--it will really lighten things up in there!
