- not 20 anymore
- too fat
- out of shape
Remodeling a house will either make you feel better or worse--stay tuned and we'll let you know which!
Meanwhile, back at 507, we
- scraped a lot of unidentified stuff from beneath the last layer or six of paint on the walls in the dining room and living room
- filled about a jillion cracks in the walls and ceilings
- patched holes in walls and doors
- caulked corners and edges of trim
- swept up spider webs and more unidentified stuff from the floors
- washed a window or two
- washed out a cupboard or two
- raked up two bags of leaves, sticks and assorted other yard detritus
- lopped off a half-dozen or more saplings planted courtesy the squirells
- pulled out a bit of Ornery's mortal enemy--English Ivy... much more to come out
Unfortunately, we could do the exact same thing for the next ten days and still not be finished with it all! I jokingly suggested we call it the crack house since there are cracks in Every. Single. Wall.
I took the camera with me today and forgot to take any pictures, but there wasn't really much to photograph just yet, unless you want to see lots of white smears on orange walls.
Chuck is due in any time now, and then the work will really begin. Tomorrow and Friday are supposed to be 75 and 82 degrees for the highs, so I will be working outside while the sun shines!
