The day started off with a bang--and lots of rain! We ventured out in it anyway, as we had a few errands to run. First we went to Hobby Lobby to get a mirror for the hall bathroom. We had looked at Lowe's and couldn't really find anything we liked worth the money, and since HobLob has a 40% off coupon nearly every week, even if the mirrors weren't on sale, we figured there was a better chance of finding something suitable. We found an oval mirror that will fit just right in the space we have available, but unfortunately to hang it low enough we will have to drill some holes in the tile.
Next we went to Lowe's for our daily allotment of need-this-to-finish-that list. By the time we left there, the rain had slowed down quite a bit so we went to Sam's Club. THAT was a big mistake! You would have thought it was Christmas! We spent more time in line than we did shopping, and that was for a rather large pile of stuff!
By the time we got home and had lunch, it was after 1:00. We got to 507 around 2:00 and worked until almost 8:00. I would love to say I took lots of photos of completed projects, but the fact is there is still nothing really finished. Ornery did caulk the last of the tub in the master bath, and did several other tasks, but none to mark off as "done" on the list. I painted the second coat on the second closet and worked some on the trim. I also hung a new mini-blind in the master bedroom--although I did have to have some help with the middle brace. (The brackets were already up, so it wasn't really that big of a chore!)
Ornery hit a few of the cracks with mud and tape, then put a second coat of mud on the hall attic fan patch and the master bedroom plumbing patch. Just as we were getting ready to leave, another storm came in, and we were happy to be home before it hit!
Just one more weekend day, and while I really hate to work on Easter Sunday, it looks like that is what we will be doing. Elizabeth and Michael have said they plan to come and work for a while as well. One more month to finish way more work than I ever imagined we would be doing!
