Oh my goodness that was a week!! I sold three or four dominoes (two today), made 12 cookbooks, 13 greeting cards, finished the two pine baskets I was working on and edited the transcripts from five sermons. I finished the review and sent the completed work in at 8:30 PM!
Zoe Cottage looks like a small hurricane whipped through it, the laundry basket is full and the cupboards and refrigerator are bare. I tried to work in a little bit of housework here and there, but the vacuum cleaner is still sitting out in the hall, along with a dust cloth and some window cleaner. By the time I get the rest of it finished, the first part will need it again! If Ornery had not been helping me here and there in the kitchen, we might be buried in dirty dishes, as well!
This weekend I will be cleaning as we put up our indoor Christmas decorations. I will post photos once we get finished. Our neighbor (of the Frankenstein Halloween decor) has about 1/2 his outdoor Christmas decorations up and I am pretty sure he is related to Clark Griswold. :) "Is your house on fire, Clark?" It will be nice to be in a neighborhood where the people decorate with more than white twinkle lights on the bushes.
The ornament and cookie exchange is two weeks from tonight. It feels odd to not have some project relating to it hanging over my head! Mickie is to bring me the goody bags and once those are filled and the ballots for voting are designed and printed, I will have nothing more to do until I fix the food for that evening.
It hasn't really soaked in yet that the two big projects I have been laboring over so intensely for the past few weeks are finally finished. It is good that they are, though. I still have a few things to do around the house before company arrives. We shall see how much progress is made over the weekend...
