Switching it up...

First thing this morning I hopped in the shower and got dressed--two things that never got done yesterday. Then Ornery and I made a run to Lowe's and the grocery store.  The Lowe's run was sort of a waste, since they didn't have what I was looking for and I forgot one of the items I went in for!

Chuck was already at work in there when we got home, and after a quick breakfast Ornery joined him. They finished building and installing the shelves, then Ornery caulked around all the new shelves.

Ornery used to tease me that one day he would come home from work and find his bed in the bathtub. Rearranging is a regular occurrence around here, but we don't usually switch whole rooms!  Today Mimi finished the second coat on the letters, then she helped me to move the guest room to the studio and the studio to the guest room! Chuck is a little worried about getting lost on his way to the bathroom in the middle of the night. :)

This is the new studio view from the doorway. Charlie was keeping me company. I still have a few things to put away, but it is remarkably put together considering the upheaval it took to get to this point.
I moved into the closet first as it was already almost empty. I doubled my closet storage space and was able to put the little cubicle unit inside as well, so I can hide all my junkie looking supplies. The ribbon rack is on the wall next to the closet door in the corner.

Rather than keep a separate table for my computer, I am just using the other side of my craft table for now. I put the file cabinet and the printer next to the armoire, which houses a rather large assortment of paper, some misc. craft supplies and all the items I have already made and listed on my etsy shop.

Once the old studio was empty, we put the bed in there. The little table is still there, but after our company leaves we will move it out into the garage to make more room. For now it is handy to have in there.

In the process of moving, I had to pile a bunch of Ornery's clothes in the living room. We have a rather colossal mess in most of the rooms because of the closet project.  Chuck and Mimi are painting in there this evening. Mimi is priming the shelves and Chuck is doing the walls. The closet is big, but not big enough for four people, so we are not invited to that party! I'll post photos tomorrow night of that area.  Other than the new shelves, there was not a lot of visible progress in there.

So ended the day #3 of the renovation.
