It seems the wind is determined to hasten the arrival of "fall" and has blown all day to dislodge the leaves. Most have not turned color yet, so it seems a bit premature, but the lawn is littered with little branches and leaves despite their untimely demise.
Otherwise, it is apparently an "Indian Summer" day at 84 degrees and mostly sunny skies. I had planned on working in the garage today painting my little table, but it seems like there are always so many other things that take me away from that project. Today I did a bit of cooking, and tidying up. I fixed vegetable stuffed Cornish Hens for lunch, and have soup in the crock pot for dinner. The recipe for the birds is on the recipe blog, but the soup is not really a recipe--just threw some stuff in the pot! I'll write it out if it turns out to be a "do again" recipe.
