These are the little ribbon magnets I made. They are supposed to be stylized "prize" ribbons, but we decided that the flowers would look really cute. Mickie had already cut out a bunch of the flowers, so all I really had to do was pick the layers, glue and assemble. (Look closely and you will see pieces from my mega bolt of baker's twine!) I had some little magnet pieces left over from making the mini-clipboards last year that I put on the back, and I was glad to finally have a use for them.
These are the little coupon holders I made. I still have a bunch more to complete, but at least this gives an idea of what they look like. The large paperclips are from Office Depot. I added ribbons to the end and cut scraps of paper for the folders. I will laminate them when I get them all made to help them last longer. My idea is that these would be great to tote in your purse to keep coupons in or punch cards--whatever you tend to "forget" at the check out. The frilly ribbons will be noticeable and hopefully catch your attention when you reach in for your wallet. I suppose the clips could be used for other things, the shop with the original design I saw was selling them as book marks, but it seems like they might be too thick for that.
The weather has been very fall-like today--cloudy, cool and rainy. I was glad to be indoors!
