Leap Day

So far this week has been marked by flurries of activity followed by stretches of torpidity.  Despite possessing a long list of interesting projects I have lacked sufficient motivation to actually complete anything.  Monday I painted the small toilet area of the bathroom and hung some pictures.  Actually, all the flurries of activity took place that day (which began with a run to QuikTrip for a donut!) but Tuesday found me more often than not in a sedentary state.

The bathroom is looking quite pretty, despite the plain concrete floor. The new lights are wonderful, and here is a photo of the garden tub area (before Ornery hung the capiz shells back up on the window).

The plan is to mop the floor this evening after showers, then prime it before Ornery goes to work in the morning.  It will be ready to lay flooring in the evening, when he and Elizabeth will begin.  I have high hopes they will finish this weekend!

It is really hard to believe we are already through the second month of 2012! I am hoping that since today is "Leap Day" I will leap into action and accomplish something!   or not. :)

  1. The potted flowers and pretty butterflies are set up so nicely by the yellow paint. Such a welcoming, cheery place!

    1. Yes, I am very happy with the way it is coming together! The butterflies are artist renditions of various plant parts put together in the shape of butterflies then given fictitious "Latin" names. It is quirky, fun and colorful--all things I like! :)
