Weekend in Review: more work

Saturday morning, Ornery and I went on a date.  We had breakfast at Panera where we planned out the design for my studio when we eventually get around to completing it.  It took us an hour or more and we talked about all sorts of ideas and plans. If it ever comes about, it will be an awesome room!  Then we went to Whole Foods, Hobby Lobby and Sam's Club for a few things at each store.

Elizabeth went to the Riverside/Jones airport to help with refurbishing an old Piper Cub airplane.  A former co-worker from CompUSA invited her to join him and several others.  She said she really enjoyed it and invited Ornery to join her next time, sure that he would find pleasure there as well.

After lunch, she had another former co-worker (from Flight Safety) over to show him how to oil paint.  He saw some of her art on Facebook and requested some lessons.  While he was painting in the dining room, she and I were working on her latest shawl in the living room.  I learned how to attach the fringe and did all but 20 pieces of the 270 that ended up on it.  We finished it on Sunday after it being on the loom for over a week. That is the longest it has taken her to complete one so far, but she had been sick and has had a hard time bouncing back into the routine.

Sunday we got up early and did church at home, then Ornery worked on putting a shopping cart on a website, Elizabeth went to a movie and I worked a puzzle.  After the movie, Elizabeth and Ornery went out to take pictures of her new shawls to add them to her etsy shop and put some pictures up on her Facebook page.  Here are a few of my favorites...

I plan to begin editing a new eBook tomorrow.  It has 12 messages so it should keep me busy for a while.

I am in negotiations with someone about a custom shadow box as well, so that will also keep me in the studio. Good thing we got the heat fixed in there this week!
