Construction Zone

We have moved on to the next decorating project, and my dining room is empty of furniture and draped in drop cloths while Ornery paints.  He has most of two coats of white paint on the ceiling, but hasn't started the cut work around the edges. Once that is done, he will start putting the olive marinade on the walls. I can hardly wait to see what that looks like!  I hope I love it because I bought two gallons!

While he is painting, all the dining room furniture (except the curio cabinet) has been relocated to the living room and halls.  It is a bit of a mess!  I still haven't done any of the painting I had planned to do this week, but I am sure I'll get to it eventually.  I didn't accomplish anything yesterday except to make some cards (which you can see here), and this morning I have to go to Lowe's for more paint, then to the dentist for my two fillings. Bleh.  Crafting with Mickie may not happen at all this week, as she has gotten pretty busy.

The weather has been record breaking hot and dry as a bone, which has not induced me to go out much at all. Yesterday was forecast to be 115 degrees, but I don't know if it ever got up there.  Today is to be another scorcher and there doesn't seem to be an end in sight.  At least I have plenty to do inside to keep me occupied!
