And get me out of this state. I don't want to do things that I really NEED to do... like clean my house to prepare for a rather large gathering (about 21 people for Build-your-own sammies) here Friday evening. I have found at least 27 ways to procrastinate, and not ONE thing to motivate me to get hopping with the clean up!
I designed four new styles of cards this morning for my daughter-in-law, printed them out, scored and folded them and paired with envelopes--almost 50 cards all totalled. Then I found this site with ideas to use Washi Tape. Wow!!! Then I was inspired to do all sorts of Washi-tape projects, but still not cleaning.
Ornery went to the PO Box at lunch and brought me back all sorts of fun stuff, including a freebie box of Teavana Tea from a fellow swapper who couldn't use it, which I promptly passed on to my daughter who happened to be here when he brought it in. I drank enough tea when I was dieting to do me for all the rest of my days; now the thought of it makes me cringe. I suppose I will always associate the flavor of tea with the feeling of being hungry.
Anyway, I got some cute ATCs, two letters from new pen pals and all sorts of little goodies added into most of the envelopes. The really clean surface of my work table I had this morning is all cluttered up again, and my list of ideas is growing quickly. Ornery is due home any time, and I really should have something to show for my time here alone all day... only it doesn't look like it's gonna happen. :P

Start fresh tomorrow morning with a cleaning plan, and promise yourself some crafting time when you are done as a reward. I do that to myself all the time. The reward system works.

Hmmm when all else fails if the dust has built up on the surface, stick your finger in at randoms spots and you have instant POP ART!.
