It has been a quiet week around here. I have done a lot of reading, shopped for groceries, got my hair cut (finally the last of the perm and color is gone!) created a new blog for Grace and Righteousness Ministries and performed a furious spate of cleaning yesterday morning. Elizabeth had a dentist appointment at 1:00, so she took the afternoon off.
After her appointment we went over to a little boutique called Maurice's and she bought another pile of new clothes including two pairs of jeans and four tops. Then we walked down the sidewalk to Famous Footwear and found three pairs of dress shoes, two on the clearance table, one of which was marked $5.00!
She is making up for many years of wardrobe neglect. It has been fun to shop with her and see her get some new things. She has shopped at resale shops for so long I don't think she had more than a handful of things in her closet that had not been worn by someone else! It is remarkable that she has found so many things to her taste and that are long enough to fit her long torso well in one spot. Unfortunately, the guest room closet does not accommodate her collection very well, so we ended up moving some of her things into my side of the closet on an empty shelf and a small section of hanging clothes bar.
She is going to Arkansas for the weekend, so Ornery and I are contemplating options. No telling what we will end up doing!
